Electrical early-career jobs
HireSetu has 11 published Electrical openings from 10 employers in the current sample.
What Electrical hiring looks like for candidates
Electrical openings may include power systems, automation, and plant electrical support. Safety awareness and standards literacy often appear alongside core engineering skills.
Electrical hiring on HireSetu, read across employers
Written on 2026-09-11 from the 9 Electrical listings open then, across 9 employers; 11 are open today. It describes clusters and proportions rather than individual listings.
Electrical engineering on HireSetu is nine listings from nine employers, and unlike several of the small fields on the site, all nine are electrical work. They divide into two strands — building systems and power-and-control systems — and they include one posting that is not an engineering role at all but a trade: an electrician at a hospital. Six of the nine are at zero years, and two sit in Gujarat.
Two strands
| Strand | Titles it appears under | Employers and where |
|---|---|---|
| Building systems | Associate Engineer – BMS Operations, Application Engineer I, Apprentice – Electrical Engineering, Electrician | Carrier in Bengaluru, Honeywell in Pune, JLL in Mumbai, Fortis at Manesar |
| Power and control systems | Associate – Power Systems, DCS Software Engineer, PCS – Design, Design Engineer, SolidWorks Electrical Application Engineer | WSP in Noida, Yokogawa in Baroda, Adani in Ahmedabad, Rexel in Pune, beacon in Bengaluru |
Building systems: the operations side of electrical
Carrier's building-management-system operations associate, Honeywell's application engineer and JLL's electrical apprentice are all about the electrical and control systems inside commercial buildings — the equipment that runs heating, ventilation, access and power distribution across a campus — and JLL's, a property-services firm, is the apprenticeship route into it. Fortis' electrician at Manesar is the one trade posting: a hospital chain hiring a qualified electrician for its site, which is a vocational role rather than a graduate one and the only one of its kind on the site.
Power and control: the design side
WSP's power-systems associate in Noida is consultancy design work. Yokogawa's DCS software engineer in Baroda is distributed-control-system engineering for process plants — the industrial-automation strand — and Adani's PCS design role in Ahmedabad is power-conversion design at an energy conglomerate; together they put two of the nine listings in Gujarat, which matches the pattern on the Energy page of power-equipment work clustering there. Rexel's design engineer in Pune and beacon's SolidWorks Electrical application engineer in Bengaluru, the latter asking one to two years, are the electrical-design-tooling end of the strand.
Reading the sample
No skill recurs on four or more listings. Nine roles is too few to describe a market, and the page's use is as a map: building-systems operations at Carrier, Honeywell and JLL; consultancy and industrial-control design at WSP, Yokogawa and Adani; one apprenticeship and one trade seat. A candidate with an electrical degree who does not see their specialism here — power electronics, for instance — should read the Electronics page, where four of those roles sit under a different tag.

Electrical — extra context
Electrical engineering roles — what employers screen for
Electrical openings may span design, plant maintenance, protection systems, or automation — titles alone rarely tell you which subdomain applies.
Safety standards, lockout/tagout habits, and schematic literacy often matter as much as software tool lists on employer postings.
Power and industrial employers may expect shift coordination or vendor interface experience even for graduate-track roles.
Electrical jobs — questions candidates ask
Is electrical the same as electronics on HireSetu?
No. Electrical pages focus on power, plant, and automation tracks; see Electronics for PCB and hardware design roles.
Do I need a license for every role?
Requirements vary by employer and state rules — confirm on the employer application page.
