What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session tokens, and pixels. Some technologies are strictly necessary; others require consent in certain regions.

How we use consent

Where required (for example in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), visitors see Google's own consent message, a Google-certified consent tool, before any non-essential cookies are set for analytics and advertising. Everyone else sees HireSetu's cookie banner. You can change your choice anytime using the cookie controls shown on the site or your browser settings.

Strictly necessary

Required for security, load balancing, and core delivery. These cannot be switched off if you want the site to function.

Authentication — Supabase

Supabase Auth stores session credentials in your browser so signed-in sessions work securely. Disabling them prevents account features.

Analytics — Google Analytics 4

GA4 helps us understand aggregate traffic and product usage. Analytics cookies are used only according to your consent choice where required.

Preferences

We may store UI preferences such as dismissed notices or filter state in local storage.

Advertising — Google AdSense

Google AdSense and its partners may set advertising cookies to deliver, personalize (where permitted), and measure ads. Manage personalization at Google Ads Settings. Advertising helps fund free job discovery on HireSetu.

Ads do not decide which jobs are published. Publication follows Editorial Policy and human review. See also Privacy Policy and ads.txt for publisher authorization on this domain.

Third-party cookies

Third-party providers (Google, Supabase, payment processors on checkout pages) may set their own cookies subject to their policies.

When you click Apply, you leave HireSetu for an employer or ATS site with separate cookie practices. Review those sites before uploading identity documents or resumes.

• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
• Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking authentication cookies can prevent sign-in while public job pages may still load. That is expected and is not a paid unlock wall.
