The calendar runs this job

Days go on client profile reviews: checking what came in against local regulation and Citi's own standards, updating KYC forms, and following up with clients so documents land before due dates. You also track records through the Appendix approval step and build action plans for records about to expire. A record going past due is the failure this role exists to prevent, so the work suits someone who keeps a list moving and escalates early when a client goes quiet.

The later responsibility bullets are written at grade level: judgement, ownership, delivery under shifting priorities. Treat the KYC duties as the actual job and that language as how Citi describes a C10. Appendix approval is house shorthand, so get that step explained to you before you say yes.

The CV that gets read

Put any account opening, pre-requirements or periodic review work at a bank at the top, even if it ran six months. Name the document types you handled and which regulations you checked against. A fresher can put an internship or a project on CDD process in that spot.

The skills list is governance vocabulary: credible challenge, risk identification, risk controls and monitors, management reporting, program management. Each needs a line of evidence under it. Credible challenge, for instance, means questioning a file that looks complete. Zero to two years and a bachelor's degree are the hard filters; banking operations is marked preferable, so a strong graduate with no bank on the CV still gets read.

The path into AML work

Two years of profile reviews puts you in line for AML roles: periodic review teams, quality control, transaction monitoring, investigations. Citi's Mumbai operation is large enough to hold several of those teams, and moves between them happen. Compliance advisory is the longer path, and it rewards people who can read a regulation and restate it plainly, which is much of what profile reviewing trains you to do.
