Job Description

We are looking for an Electronics Hardware Engineer to handle the design, development, testing, and maintenance of PCB hardware for our electronic products and industrial sensing systems.

The candidate will be responsible for working on circuit design, PCB layout coordination, component selection, hardware testing, troubleshooting, and product improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and review electronic circuits for embedded and industrial applications.
  • Develop and review PCB schematics and layouts.
  • Select suitable electronic components, sensors, connectors, power supplies, and communication modules.
  • Test and troubleshoot PCB hardware during development and production.
  • Work with firmware/software teams for hardware integration.
  • Prepare BOM, technical documentation, test reports, and design files.
  • Coordinate with PCB manufacturers and assembly vendors.
  • Support product validation, debugging, and field issue resolution.
  • Improve existing PCB designs for reliability, cost, and manufacturability.

Required Skills

  • Good knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
  • Experience in PCB design tools such as Altium, KiCad, Eagle, OrCAD, or similar.
  • Understanding of micro controllers, power supply circuits, communication protocols, and sensors interfaces.
  • Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, RS485, CAN, Ethernet, etc.
  • Ability to use testing instruments like multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and power supply.
  • Basic understanding of EMI/EMC, grounding, isolation, and industrial hardware design.
  • Ability to read datasheets and select components independently.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with industrial electronics, temperature measurement systems, fiber optic sensor systems, or embedded hardware.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing, assembly, and testing process.
  • Experience in designing hardware for industrial environments will be an advantage.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a practical, hands-on engineer who can take ownership of PCB hardware from concept to testing and production support. The candidate should be able to debug problems independently and work closely with the product development team.

HireSetu's note

Where the bar actually sits

Two things decide this hire. You can drive a PCB tool, Altium, KiCad, Eagle or OrCAD, from schematic through layout, and you can sit at a bench with a scope and a logic analyzer and work out why a board misbehaves. Reading a datasheet and choosing a part unaided is part of the same skill.

The protocol list is longer than any one engineer's day. UART, SPI, I2C, RS485, CAN and Ethernet show up together because different products use different ones. Have two or three you have genuinely wired and debugged, and be honest about the rest.

Industrial electronics, temperature measurement and fiber optic sensor work sit under preferred. The qualification line accepts a diploma alongside a degree, so boards you have built and tested carry weight. A college project counts if you can explain the faults you hit and how you fixed them.

Udaipur, vendors and reporting lines

Onsite in Udaipur, with the hardware work running alongside firmware, PCB manufacturers and assembly vendors. Part of the week goes to vendor coordination and field failures, since product validation and field issue resolution sit in the same job as design.

Tempsens makes temperature measurement and sensor instrumentation, so boards range from small sensor interfaces to power and communication sections. Ask which product lines you would own and how many engineers share the schematic and layout work between them.

Confirm the terms: probation length, notice period, and whether hardware reports into design or into production. That last answer decides how much of your time goes to new boards and how much to keeping existing ones running.
