HireSetu's note

The two-year bar is about bench time

Two things act as filters here: a degree in electrical, electronics or a related branch, and 1 to 2 years in electrical or electronic systems work. Automotive and EV experience is the natural fit, but the wording accepts general electrical systems, so someone coming from industrial panels, appliances or consumer electronics can apply. Everything else is written as knowledge of, familiarity with or interest in, which means the team expects to train the right person on EV architecture. Your wiring, harness or debugging stories will carry more of that conversation than a long tool list.

The material on your bench

EV startups pull in plenty of people expecting cell chemistry, BMS algorithms or motor firmware. Raptee's list reads differently: connectors, fuses, relays, switches, sensors, grounding, connector selection, power distribution. This is the physical and validation layer of the bike. It is unglamorous, and it is where a one to two year engineer learns the most, because most faults trace back to a joint, a ground or a routing decision.

Revise CAN, grounding and the scope

CAN is named next to the multimeter and oscilloscope, so be able to talk about frames, IDs and reading live bus traffic. Grounding and circuit protection get their own mentions in the requirements, which points to noise and shared return paths being live issues on a two-wheeler. Learn what a scope shows that a multimeter cannot. On EMI/EMC, know conducted against radiated emissions and what pre-compliance testing is for. This is the ground floor for EV electrical work in general.

Bring-up to production in one job

Prototype builds, vehicle testing, design reviews and production implementation all sit in the same list. In practice that means commissioning a freshly assembled bike: power it up, watch for what misbehaves, then chase the cause with the mechanical, firmware and supplier teams. Root-cause work at this level is slow and specific, an intermittent fault that only appears under vibration, an undersized fuse that fails after a month. At a company of Raptee's size the electrical architecture sits with a small team, and that is the real offer: you see the whole programme instead of one corner of it.
