Quick answer: A bench role in Barco's Noida R&D team building LED tile displays. The title says hardware design, but the work is configuring LED driver ICs and judging what the panel actually shows: brightness, grayscale, colour, mura and flicker.

HireSetu's note

Tuning chips, then measuring panels

The responsibilities sit closer to the bench than to a schematic editor. You set driver ICs to hit a target brightness, grayscale and colour, then measure whether the panel delivers it. Oscilloscopes, multimeters, colorimeters, spectrometers and imaging systems are the daily tools, and the numbers they produce cover power draw, signal integrity, voltage, current and heat.

Display debugging is a group activity. Hardware, FPGA, firmware and manufacturing all feed into it, and supplier conversations are part of the job when a driver IC or a batch of panels misbehaves. Configuration guidelines and validation reports are named outputs, so expect to write up what you found and why the settings you chose are the right ones.

Lead with the display work

LED driver IC experience is the first thing to surface, with fine-pitch LED work behind it: SMD, COB, flip-chip. Which technology the team spends most of its time on changes the driver trade-offs, so it's fair to raise in the first call. If you've set gamma curves, white balance or grayscale ramps on a real panel, name the metric you moved and by how much. Python, C/C++ or MATLAB counts for handling measurement data, and oscilloscope fluency is a given.

Revise the chain that turns a bit value into light: PWM, constant-current driving, multiplexing, scan configuration, bit depth and gamma. Know what causes flicker, ghosting and cross-talk at low grayscale, and how a colorimeter or spectrometer reading catches each one. Mura and refresh rate are metrics Barco names, so a working definition of both, plus how you'd quantify them on a live panel, is fair ground.

Barco asks for a master's or bachelor's in electronics, or equal experience, with no year count attached. Panels you have calibrated yourself can carry more of the application than your graduation year.
