HireSetu's note
Two filters and a bonus
The degree line is broad: final-year students and graduates both qualify, since the internship track runs alongside the full-time one. CAD is not broad. SolidWorks or Fusion 360 has to be a tool you already use fluently, because frame design is most of the job. Hands-on fabrication is the requirement people skim past, and it means a printed bracket that failed, a frame you cut and rebuilt, a part you machined. UAV work sits at the bottom as a plus, so a strong mechanical portfolio without drones is still worth sending.
Put a finished build first
A CAD model on its own won't carry the application. Lead with a physical thing you designed, fabricated and tested, and keep the numbers: weight, material, how much it deflected, what you changed after the first version. If it flew, say so. If it broke, say what broke. The listing leans on problem-solving and hands-on debugging, and those only show up through a specific failure you chased down.
Two tracks, one application
Full-time and a three-month internship are advertised in the same posting, with the internship extendable and a full-time offer tied to performance. Days are onsite in Pune, and they want someone joining immediately, so your start date matters as much as the CV. The application form takes a couple of minutes; state clearly which track you're after, since the two carry different expectations. What the extension review looks like at month three is the detail to confirm.
Analysis and paperwork come with it
Material selection, structural and stress analysis sit next to the fabrication work, so a design choice gets justified with numbers and not just a render. Testing documentation and SOPs are a real chunk of the role, and they come with it whatever your title says. If your CAE experience is a college simulation, that counts, but say what you modelled and what you later validated on hardware.
