HireSetu's note
The degree is the gate
Electrical & Electronics is named as the required bachelor's, and for hardware design on high-voltage boards that isn't a formality: circuit theory, power electronics and component behaviour come up daily. An Electronics & Communication or Mechanical degree doesn't fit what they've asked for. Cadence, PCB layout and simulation sit in the desired list, which is a fair read that they'll train you on the tooling.
A bench and a document, most weeks
The job splits between lab and desk. On one side: building experimental setups, running planned tests, recording results, tracing a failure back to its root cause. On the other: engineering bills of material, design changes routed through a change control board, and the design history file medical regulators expect. Documentation is half the work. If writing up results properly bores you, the days will drag.
Lead your resume with hardware
Put a project first where you built a schematic and a board. Say what the circuit did, how you picked the components, and what broke on first power-up. Name only the tools you've genuinely used, whether that's Cadence, Altium, LTspice or MATLAB. Anything with a converter, inverter or supply in it counts for more here than a generic software project. Excel appears in the listing because BOMs and test logs live in it.
Regulated hardware means heavy paperwork
X-ray generators are a regulated product, so traceability starts on day one: every change logged, every result filed. Field failures come back as data you'll analyse to see whether other units share the fault. It moves slower than consumer electronics work, and it's a solid first job if medical devices are where you want to end up. Ask which generator platform or sub-assembly you'd start on.
