Interface microcontrollers with sensors, ADCs, DACs, memories, and other peripherals.
Work with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, and GPIO.
Understand and work with interrupts, timers, PWM, ADCs, DMA, and basic real-time concepts.
Read and interpret schematics, datasheets, application notes, and technical documentation.
Support hardware bring-up, including firmware initialization, peripheral configuration, and board-level testing.
Debug firmware and hardware issues using debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment.
Develop basic device drivers, hardware abstraction layers, diagnostics, and test firmware.
Perform firmware testing, troubleshooting, and performance validation on embedded hardware.
Maintain source code, test procedures, technical documentation, and development records.

HireSetu's note
The projects decide the shortlist
This is a 0-1 year role and the bar is stated plainly: hands-on embedded or electronics project experience during your bachelor's, plus sound analog and digital fundamentals. The named branches are ECE, EEE, E&I and Mechatronics. Marks carry less weight here than evidence that you have wired something up and made it work.
An Arduino demo or a MATLAB simulation reads thinner than a board where you configured ADC sampling, got an I2C sensor answering, and worked out why the bus went quiet. If your best project was a team effort, say which part was yours: firmware, wiring, or both.
Revise what actually breaks
The fundamentals worth revising sit under those listed protocols: I2C addressing and pull-ups, SPI modes, UART baud and framing, polling against interrupt-driven code, and how a timer produces PWM. DMA and basic real-time thinking matter because firmware that misses a deadline is a bug, not a style choice.
If you used a scope or logic analyzer in a college lab, have one story ready about something you found with it. Debugging a board that refuses to behave like its datasheet is the daily texture of this job.
North Bengaluru and the people around you
Onsite, full time, and the pin code points to the northern edge of the city around Devanahalli. Factor the commute into any offer you weigh.
The work runs alongside hardware, FPGA, PCB layout, systems and test teams, so a fresher spends much of the week on bring-up and board-level testing with people from other disciplines. Ask how firmware work is split across the team and how much time is lab against desk. A couple of years here leaves you with bring-up and driver experience, which is the base for BSP and driver roles elsewhere.
