HireSetu's note

The degree branch is the gate

Arista names Electronics & Telecommunication or Electrical Communication Engineering for B.E., B.Tech or M.Tech. Final-year students in those programs can apply. An M.Tech or M.E. gets preference. If your degree is in another branch, that gate does not move.

Hands-on electronics design is explicitly not a must, so don't skip the listing because you haven't designed boards. Python is the one nice-to-have that reads closer to a must: good Python gets preference. WiFi internals, MATLAB and lab instruments are preferences, not barriers.

Put these lines above the fold

Lead with your degree, branch and graduation year, because the filter is exact. If you have a final-year project involving a board, sensor or microcontroller, give it two lines: what you built, what you measured, what went wrong. Python belongs near the top, above coursework. A short script that automates a measurement or parses lab data says more than 'familiar with Python'. If you have used an oscilloscope, signal generator or signal analyzer, name the instrument and the measurement. Networking coursework in TCP/IP, DHCP, IPv4/IPv6 or TCP/UDP is worth a line. For Linux, list the distribution and the commands you actually use.

Revise, then ask about the bench

Brush up digital and analog fundamentals: logic families, op-amp circuits, RC and RL behavior, noise, and basic communication blocks like modulation and filtering. Circuit analysis shows up in schematic review, so be comfortable reading a netlist or block diagram. Networking basics matter too: how DHCP hands out an address, what IPv4 and IPv6 headers do, and where TCP and UDP differ. On the software side, write a small Python script that talks to an instrument or parses a CSV log.

Ask which product line you would support first: WiFi access points or switches. The listing mentions both, and the day-to-day differs. Also ask how much of the work is hands-on lab characterization versus schematic and layout review, since the posting puts front-end and back-end evaluation in the same role.
