Handling angry callers is a listed skill

The line about empathizing with and pacifying irate customers is written into the requirements next to Windows troubleshooting, and it belongs there. Most of the day is incoming calls and email from people whose machine or application has stopped working and who have already lost time. You remote in, work the problem, and when it sits with another team you route the ticket and explain what happens next.

Logging calls to procedure and writing up repeated issues as SOPs is part of the job, so the notes you leave matter as much as the fix. A caller who ends the call calm is the outcome being tracked.

Windows, Outlook and the remote stack

Revise the faults you will meet daily: boot and login failures, Outlook profiles and mailbox sync, Teams sign-in and audio, Citrix sessions and VDI desktops that refuse to connect, VPN clients that drop mid-session, and security software blocking a file or an install. Know the order you would check things in, because on a call you cannot sit and think for two minutes.

A VDI desktop is someone else's machine hosted elsewhere, and a lot of your fixes come down to whether the problem is the session, the credentials or the network underneath. Get comfortable talking a non-technical user through a step while you watch their screen.

Aurangabad and the contract tag

The role is tied to Aurangabad, so plan on being at a Wipro site for your shift. Service desks of this kind run on a roster and cover extended hours, which makes the shift pattern the first practical thing to settle with the recruiter, along with who holds you on payroll and how long the engagement runs.

Contract work means tenure follows the client engagement. That suits people who want a foothold in enterprise IT and a line on the CV, and it suits far less if you need notice periods and long-term certainty.

Front-load the CV

Desktop support is the stated mandatory skill, so it goes in your headline and your first bullet. Citrix, VDI and VPN come next, because they appear in the skills list and they narrow the field.

Numbers do the rest: tickets per day, first-call resolution, the ticketing tool you used, the user count you supported. If your background is voice support or a walk-in desktop role, rewrite it in the language of tickets, SLAs and remote tools. That is what the screening looks for.
