HireSetu's note

The two gates

Full time matters. An aggregate above 65% from a regular degree in one of those four branches is the first cut, and a part-time or distance qualification won't clear it.

Then the hands-on lines, which carry the most weight. A college mini-project that never left a breadboard reads thin. A working PLC program, a Raspberry Pi rig that ran for a month, embedded C++ on a microcontroller: bring the one you can explain end to end.

Documents fill the week

Manufacturing engineering runs on paperwork: process sheets, SOPs, work instructions, one-point lessons, PFMEAs, written under an ME engineer's guidance. Excel and PowerPoint are the daily tools, AutoCAD for layouts. You'll also chase internal and external suppliers for commitments, so expect email and meetings alongside floor time.

The automation half is where the PLC, sensors, motor control and IoT interest sits. How much of your year lands there depends on what projects are live when you join.

Lead your resume with the hardware

The branch and the percentage get screened first, so keep them visible near the top. Then go straight to the hands-on work: Siemens PLC and ladder logic, Arduino or Raspberry Pi, embedded C/C++, ROS if you have it. Name the controller and what it controlled.

Excel and PowerPoint are listed as requirements, so don't bury them. A tracker, dashboard or calculation sheet you built yourself earns a line.

Settle a few things first

Where you're placed decides the year. Ask which area of manufacturing engineering you'd sit in and who your reporting engineer is.

Then the working terms: whether you'll write PLC code or document programs someone else wrote, the shift pattern at Hoskote, and how the twelve months get reviewed. An apprenticeship is a fixed-term contract, so ask what became of the previous batch. Check the commute to Hoskote before you commit.
