HireSetu's note

Four database engines, one queue

The SQL list is not decoration. You'd be writing queries against MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL, and tuning other people's queries when a client's data pull crawls. Freshers who've only run SELECT statements on a college project have ground to cover: joins, indexes, execution plans, and why the same query behaves differently on Oracle and Postgres.

Java or .Net basics matter too, mostly for reading stack traces and log files when a break sits upstream of the database. Neither needs to be deep. You need to follow what the code is doing.

Any five days, with nights

Gurgaon, full-time, and the schedule is the thing to settle early. Any five-day shift with longer night shifts means a rotating roster covering clients in US and European time zones. Ask how long a night stretch runs and whether the rotation flips weekly or monthly.

Night work is manageable at 22, less so if you're commuting across NCR at 3am. Factor transport into the decision.

Debugging someone else's environment

Plenty of people read technical support as answering the same tickets off a script. Here you'd assess a client's setup, work out whether a proxy or a firewall is mangling their feed, and take it to product and platform teams. The posting also asks for automation that replicates and resolves recurring issues, which is engineering work wearing a support label.

Spoken English counts. You're on calls with clients outside India, often while something is broken on their side. A commerce or finance paper alongside the CS degree is a genuine edge given the kind of data you'd be moving.

Two years in

Datafeed support sits close to pre-sales and product, and the job includes helping with sales opportunities. The usual exits after a couple of years are solutions engineering, product specialist work, or data engineering built on the SQL. Nothing here promises that; it's the shape of the work.

Before an interview, have HTTP status codes, headers, the TLS handshake and what a proxy does at your fingertips. Datafeed troubleshooting runs through all of them.
