HireSetu's note

The NX bar is the gate

One to three years of CAD design experience, with NX used properly: 3D modelling, assembly modelling, and the machined and sheet metal modules. Teamcenter or another PLM system on top of that. That band is narrow compared with most mechanical listings, so count your years honestly before spending an evening on the application.

Automotive and other industries are explicitly welcome when the skills line up. What they need is someone who has modelled parts that were actually manufactured.

Mechanical on the label, wiring in the scope

The role supports electrical routing and LRU packaging, works in the NX Electrical Routing module, and lists connectors, harnesses and routing practices as preferred. Aircraft seats carry plenty of both mechanism and cable, so this is design work at the join between the two.

Pure mechanical parts experience is workable here. Ask on the call how the work splits between structure and routing on the program you would join, since that decides most of your week.

Put NX parts and EBOM work first

Your top resume lines should be the ones they named: NX sheet metal and machined parts, assembly modelling, Teamcenter. Then EBOM ownership across component and top level, and ECN/ECR documentation, because the role owns both. JIRA appears once, so a single line about task tracking there is plenty.

Injection moulded and vacuum formed parts deserve a mention, since understanding those processes is a stated requirement.

Revise the manufacturing side

For an interview here, the useful revision is process knowledge: bend radii and reliefs in sheet metal, draft angles and wall thickness in moulded parts, the tolerances that keep a machined part affordable. Add drafting standards and GD&T basics, which the listing asks for as familiarity. Material selection comes up too, so know why a bracket is aluminium and a cover is ABS. Software shortcuts you can pick up on the job.
