The fresher tag comes with a catch

The degree list is narrow, and the experience line points at reliability engineering, technical services, MRO or in-service support. A mechanical graduate with no aviation exposure can apply, but the competition will include people who have done an MRO internship or worked a shop visit. Reliability fundamentals are named outright: removal rates, trend analysis, failure mode identification. If you can explain what a rising removal rate on one part number tells you, you're already talking the team's language. If you can't, put in a week on those basics before you apply. It's the actual work, and it is learnable.

You'll live in the engine manual set

CMMs, ES, SBs, IPCs and EMMs are the publications this team works with, and support for Instructions for Continued Airworthiness sits in the job. Nobody expects a fresher to have authored these. They expect you to find your way around them and understand how a part change ripples through the documents. The other half is TCCA review material: safety-related issues and quality and safety risk assessments written up for a regulator to read. Excel and Power BI carry the analysis, so build a small dashboard from any dataset you can get hold of and you'll have something concrete to discuss.

Yelahanka, hybrid, and the odd evening

Northgate is on the Yelahanka side of Bengaluru, so let the commute decide where you live. The role is hybrid with no travel. That flexibility line about supporting outside regular office hours matters more than it looks. Fleet support runs on events: an engine problem on the wing, a regulatory deadline, a review pack due the next morning. Ask how those evenings are shared across the team. Otherwise this is desk work with data, documents and meetings, and the pressure comes from schedules and deadlines.
