HireSetu's note
The design work is magnetics
Instrument transformers are the current and voltage transformers sitting in substations, feeding metering and protection circuits. Your decisions live in the core: material, geometry, turns, and how it holds accuracy across the range the customer specifies. That is why magnetic core calculations sit at the top of this listing, and why a circuits-heavy syllabus leaves a gap. Magnetic circuits, saturation, losses and accuracy classes are the topics to revise.
On your resume, put any transformer, inductor or magnetic-circuit project in the first screen, even a simulation. Then the commercial half: cost estimates for tenders, design sheets, BOMs and test plans pushed into SAP and the ERP. The output of this desk is information a production line works from, and manufacturing and supply chain will come back with questions.
Ask about the product line and the split
Ask which products you would cover, current transformers, voltage transformers or both, since the core problems differ and it decides what you learn in your first year. Ask how the work divides between tender costing for marketing and live order execution. Tenders mean fast estimates against customer specifications; orders mean drawings, test plans and follow-through.
The listing puts you under close supervision, so ask how design sheets and assembly drawings get signed off and who reviews your first releases. Ask how often the design team walks the assembly area at Maneja, because assembly issues and supplier queries land on this desk. Knowing whether you support one product line or several changes how much variety the week holds.
