Job Purpose
To manage and maintain accurate shipment-related data, logistics documentation, and operational records in the system, ensuring smooth and timely processing of courier and logistics activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter shipment details, AWB (Airway Bill) numbers, consignment details, and customer information into the system.
- Update shipment booking, dispatch, transit, and delivery status.
- Verify shipment details against invoices, shipping labels, and other supporting documents.
- Generate shipping labels, manifests, and shipment-related reports.
- Maintain daily Excel trackers and operational MIS reports.
- Coordinate with warehouse, hub, dispatch, and delivery teams for shipment-related information.
- Track shipment discrepancies, incorrect entries, and missing information.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry for inbound and outbound shipments.

Accuracy decides how the day went
Airway bill numbers, consignment details, customer information, booking and delivery status: all of it gets keyed into a system and cross-checked against invoices and labels. One digit out of place on an AWB sends a consignment to the wrong place and someone has to trace it back.
A good chunk of the day goes on hunting discrepancies, incorrect entries and missing information, so a temperament that likes cross-checking counts for more than raw typing speed. Practise on number strings and spreadsheet columns, not paragraphs, and time yourself.
Excel is the workbench
Daily trackers and operational MIS reports are yours to maintain, along with manifests, shipping labels and shipment reports. Excel with lookups, filters and clean formatting is the tool you live in; Word and basic computer work are the smaller part.
If your Excel use so far is college tables, build a tracker with a few hundred rows and get used to sorting it and matching it against a second sheet. ERP or logistics software experience stands out, because DHL runs shipment records through its own systems.
The bar is wide, the preference is narrow
HSC or a graduate degree in any stream clears the formal bar, and freshers are welcome, so the qualification won't separate applicants.
