Where the hours go
The GST work is mostly Input Tax Credit eligibility and reverse charge liability on vendor payments that Accounts Payable has already processed, followed by reconciling the tax GL accounts and posting adjustments. TDS is monthly reconciliations, deposit tracking, and trackers for lower deduction and tax residency certificates. You'll spend your time matching data, chasing vendors for documents, and writing justifications for auditors, with statutory dates setting the rhythm of the month.
The corporate title is Assistant Vice President while the role text calls the position Associate. That kind of gap is ordinary in bank job bands, but confirm the grade and reporting line before you accept, since it decides your pay band and how much review your work gets.
SAP is the line that earns a second look
SAP ECC or S4HANA and Excel are marked preferred, which in practice means they are the tools the team works in every day. If you have touched tax GL accounts in SAP, put that near the top, then the specific work you have owned: ITC reconciliation, RCM on vendor payments, quarterly TDS returns, audit or notice support. Semi-qualified CA, MBA Finance and commerce graduates all clear the qualification line.
This reads as a role for someone with a year or two behind them, coming from a CA articleship in indirect tax or a tax and AP operations team at a large company. People moving across from pure accounts payable have a genuine angle: you already know the vendor payment cycle, and the tax rules are learnable.
