Quick answer: Despite the Credit & Fraud Risk title, the duties described are a Data Steward Delegate role: owning data definitions, classification and quality for a domain. Expect governance and cross-team follow-up more than fraud modelling.

HireSetu's note
The definitions job, in plain terms
A data steward is the person who can say what a field means, who owns it and who is allowed to use it. Here that covers writing and maintaining data definitions, flagging critical data, applying classifications, and handling requests from teams that want to source or use the data. You also measure the controls that keep this honest and track incidents until they are closed.
Most of it is coordination: chasing sign-offs, keeping a policy checklist current, getting three teams to settle on one definition. If you pictured writing queries against transaction data to catch fraud, the bulk of these duties sits elsewhere.
A different job from a risk analyst's
At most banks, a credit and fraud risk analyst works with numbers: sampling transactions, monitoring rules, tuning thresholds. Those teams are the users of the data this role looks after, and the governance layer decides whether what they pull is trustworthy. Which of the two you would spend most weeks on is worth pinning down early.
Card data carries heavy compliance obligations, so the record-keeping half of the job is not decoration.
The background that fits
The role partners with business, technology and product or platform teams, so it rewards someone comfortable being the one who follows up and keeps a record straight. A couple of years in banking or payments operations, risk, compliance or data quality is the natural way in. A fresher can do it, but has to show they can run a process and keep paperwork in order.
Card domain knowledge helps, though the emphasis sits on policy adherence and getting teams to agree on definitions.
