HireSetu's note

The band is genuinely open to freshers

Xylem says this suits fresh graduates, and that promise holds up. The same title covers someone straight out of college and someone with four years of pump design, and what separates them is supervision and how much of their work goes out unchecked. Your portfolio decides where you land in that spread.

If any drawing you made went to a supplier, a fabricator or a shop floor, put that near the top. Without work experience, a detailed academic project is the substitute, and it has to be more than one modelled bracket. A small assembly with real fits, tolerances and a BOM reads as serious.

Lead with Creo, then the water side

Creo is the only tool named, and it appears twice, so it belongs in the first line of your resume with a version or a project attached. Assemblies, BOM and GD&T follow, because those are the actual deliverables, not add-ons. Coursework on pumps, valves or piping goes above generic CAD listings, since most applicants won't have it.

The Vadodara centre feeds global product teams, and drawings get reviewed by engineers in other offices and countries. That puts weight on the drafting itself: title blocks, dimensioning, tolerance callouts, revision notes, a drawing set someone else can open and use without asking you a question. Two or three complete, clean drawing sets do more than a dozen screenshots of parts.

How to apply

  1. Open Xylem's careers site with the Apply button.
  2. Create a Workday account for Xylem. Workday logins are separate for every company, so an account made for another employer won't work here.
  3. Upload your resume and check every auto-filled field; Workday often misreads dates and job titles.
  4. Answer the screening questions, submit, and look for the confirmation email from Workday.
