A drawing seat with an odd title

The posting is headed Jr Customer Service Executive, but every line of the description is CAD work: site layouts, elevations, antenna and equipment layouts, fabrication drawings, BOMs. No customer contact appears anywhere in it, and the department is given as Engineering / Design. Read it as a design-office job and settle the title question with the recruiter early, since it decides which team you actually join.

Certification is the first filter

AutoCAD with certifications is the one thing the employer calls mandatory. A finished certificate course plus a folder of your own drawings, 2D and 3D, covers what the skills block asks for in a way a marksheet can't show.

The degree list is equally narrow: mechanical, civil or structural engineering. The rest of it, layers, dynamic blocks, Xrefs, dimensioning, plotting, MS Office, BOM preparation, is learnable in the first weeks on the job. Deliver samples in DWG and PDF, the two formats this team works and hands over in.

Site photos are the raw material

A lot of this work starts from survey information, client inputs and photographs of an existing cell site. You work out what is mounted where, then draw the structure, mounts, cable runs and equipment room to match, following whichever operator standard applies to that site.

Telling a BBU from an RRU, and an antenna mount from a dish mount, is the practical preparation. The description runs from 2G to 5G and asks for cable and electrical schematics from antenna to BBU, so that vocabulary shows up daily. Structural design knowledge and accuracy in steel detailing are named for a reason: a missing strengthening member on a tower drawing becomes a problem on site.

Two years of this puts you in telecom infrastructure design work, at tower companies and the design outfits that serve them.
