HireSetu's note

Lead your CV with the tools and the parts

A recruiter screening this looks for two things first: CATIA V5 or 3DEXPERIENCE, and Windchill with SAP. Put those at the top, with the years stated against each. Then name the chassis parts you have owned: frame, subframe, cross members, suspension or exhaust mounting brackets. One line like "rear subframe redesign, 3.5 kg saved, released in Windchill" carries further than a paragraph on collaboration.

If you have run ECR and ECO cycles end to end, including NPRs, say so early. Five years is the floor here, and the team is reading for programme experience, not tool familiarity.

Change control eats the week

The mental picture is hours of geometry in CATIA. On a live vehicle programme, a large share of the week goes into DMU clash studies, drawing releases, add/delete lists and BOM accuracy in PLM. A bracket that fouls a brake line at the build station lands on your desk as a change request with a date attached. Prototype builds sharpen that further: problems surface on the line, and someone has to judge whether the fix sits in the design or the build process. Expect to be that person, working across CAE, manufacturing and supplier quality.

The work is Chennai-based and tied to a vehicle programme. Ask where you would sit and whether it is at a client site, since that shapes your day more than the tool list does.
