Quick answer: An entry-level full stack role in Bengaluru, but the weight sits on the server side: REST APIs in Java, Kotlin or Python with Spring Boot, Django or FastAPI, with ReactJS as the smaller share. The experience line contradicts itself, so read the qualifications as the real bar.

From Intuit's job posting

We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Software Engineer 1 - Full Stack with 1-3 years of experience in developing, testing, and maintaining reliable, scalable, and high-performance fullstack applications and APIs.

The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, hands-on experience with Java, Kotlin, or Python, ReactJS and a keen interest in building high-quality software. You should be enthusiastic about writing clean, maintainable code, applying software engineering best practices, and solving real-world technical challenges.

In this role, you will collaborate with experienced engineers, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams to develop backend services that power business-critical applications. You will have opportunities to learn and apply concepts such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Domain-Driven Design (DDD), microservices, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications, services, and RESTful APIs using Java, Kotlin, or Python , ReactJS and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, or FastAPI.

Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following established engineering standards and best practices.

Collaborate with senior engineers and Product Managers to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to the implementation of scalable and reliable backend services.

Develop unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, correctness, and reliability.

Apply software engineering principles, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Work with relational databases, write efficient SQL queries, and understand database transactions and data consistency.

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments.

Participate in code reviews, incorporate feedback, and continuously improve code quality.

Contribute to performance optimization, monitoring, and reliability improvements of backend services.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment to deliver high-quality features.

Take ownership of assigned tasks and features, ensuring timely delivery with appropriate testing and documentation.

The backend carries the work

Run down the responsibilities and ReactJS appears once, tucked into the languages line. Everything else is backend: designing and maintaining services and APIs, writing SQL against relational databases, adding unit and integration tests, debugging across development, test and production. Pick one language and one framework and know a REST API you built end to end, including what happens when a database call fails partway through.

TDD, DDD and microservices are listed as things you'll learn here, so no production history in them is needed. Knowing what each one means before you walk in is a different matter.

The numbers don't agree

The opening paragraph asks for 1 to 3 years. The qualifications say 0 to 2, preferably in fullstack work. Treat the lower range as the bar and apply if you have an internship, a substantial side project or open source commits behind you.

A career switcher with two years in another stack is a harder sell here, because the SQL topics are specific: transactions, ACID properties, data consistency. Those come up in any serious backend conversation and they're where self-taught candidates get caught.

Agentic tools and incident work

One responsibility stands out for an entry-level listing: using agentic development tools to ship features. AI coding assistants are part of the workflow, which puts a premium on reading and correcting generated code, and on debugging it when it misbehaves.

The other line to notice is production support and root cause analysis with guidance. On a team this size, juniors get pulled into incidents and monitoring, so it's fair to ask how that load is shared and whether it means on-call.
