HireSetu's note
Java, Spring and a database you have actually used
The experience band is wide, but the preferred list is not. Java with Spring for large enterprise applications comes first, then relational databases: SQL, JDBC, DB2, MySQL. React, Angular, Docker and Kubernetes are framed as things to keep learning, so a solid Java and SQL base counts for more than a long tool list on your CV.
The work sits on the payments network that processes tens of thousands of transactions a second, so code here gets reviewed for security and scale, not just whether it runs. The other fixed point is the office: three days a week in Bengaluru, with the exact days set by your hiring manager.
Degree or six months of experience, either one
Visa asks for a bachelor's in maths, science, engineering, computer science or information systems, or six months to two years of directly related work. Treat it as either, not both. A non-CS graduate with a year of development work clears the bar, and so does a fresh CS graduate with strong fundamentals.
The front-end and no-SQL items on the preferred list describe the whole stack rather than a checklist you tick today. Front-end depth is the gap most candidates can close on their own, and it is the one an interviewer can see in five minutes.
Three things to have sharp
For full-stack roles at this level, Java, Spring and SQL are where the conversation gets specific. That means collections and concurrency basics, how Spring wires a service together, and SQL you can write by hand: joins, indexes, transactions, and why one query runs slow while another does not.
Have one project you built end to end and know which parts you would redo. If your experience is mostly front-end, treat the database as the bigger gap and build a small service with a real schema before you start applying.

How to apply
- Open Visa's careers site with the Apply button.
- Create a Workday account for Visa. Workday logins are separate for every company, so an account made for another employer won't work here.
- Upload your resume and check every auto-filled field; Workday often misreads dates and job titles.
- Answer the screening questions, submit, and look for the confirmation email from Workday.
No fees, ever. HireSetu never charges candidates, and no genuine employer asks for money to apply, interview or join. If anyone asks you to pay, stop and report the job.
