HireSetu's note
The two hard filters
The degree is flexible: mechanical, instrumentation or chemical engineering all count, and 0-2 years means a fresher can apply. Two lines narrow it. ERP knowledge is mandatory, with SAP, Oracle and JDE named as examples. And you need to read mechanical and technical drawings. If your exposure so far is coursework, those two are where the gaps will show.
Control valve experience with Fisher, or any background in control valves through sales, order engineering or manufacturing, sits under preferred qualifications. Useful, not required. The degree preference leans mechanical, so a mechanical degree plus some valve exposure is the strongest version of this profile.
Lead with BOM and drawing work
Order engineering is judged on accuracy and turnaround, so open your CV with any work where you built or checked a bill of materials and saw it through. A college project where you produced a parts list from an assembly drawing, or an internship where you cross-checked a spec against a product structure, does more than a generic skills block.
Then name your ERP system and the transactions you have touched. SAP on its own says little; purchase orders, material master and BOM entries say more. Drawing interpretation comes third, backed by an example of spotting what changed between two revisions.
Some grounding in what a control valve is: body, trim, actuator, and how changing one of those shifts part numbers downstream. You don't need to be a valve designer, but that vocabulary is the daily language of this work.
