HireSetu's note
The bench is where the gaps show
Some embedded roles let you write the driver and hand the board to someone else. Here the same person develops it and troubleshoots it, probing buses and reading logic analyser traces to work out whether the fault sits in the code, the timing or the hardware around it.
If your projects stopped at a working demo on a dev board, be straight about that. What counts is whether you have chased a bug down to a physical signal.
Concurrency and the wire-level details
RTOS work runs alongside bare-metal code, so know tasks, priorities, context switches, mutexes and what is safe to do inside an interrupt. Priority inversion and reentrancy are the traps once several threads share one core.
For I2C, SPI, UART and USB, learn the framing, clocking and addressing, and what each looks like on a scope when it breaks. Cybersecurity is named as part of the work, so a basic grip on secure boot, key storage and signed firmware updates helps.
Specs, reviews and calls across time zones
The job is not only code. You write specifications and end-user documentation, sit through module and system reviews, and work under agile or waterfall depending on the project. Coverity and Black Duck are static analysis and open-source scanning tools, so both will be part of getting code merged.
The engineering team is spread across countries, which means early or late calls. Ask how long a module takes from first commit to sign-off.
The part-time label needs pinning down
Hadapsar, Pune, onsite and listed as part-time. That is an odd combination for this kind of work and this experience band, so ask what part-time means in practice: shorter days, three days a week, or a full week recorded under a different contract. It decides what else you can take on.
Ask as well which platform and product line you would join, how much of the role is validation versus new development, and whether industrial protocol stacks or the cybersecurity features take more of the year.
