Quick answer: The title points at RTL design, but the team is ATD Automation's Shuttle group: process test vehicles, shuttle layouts, reticle and mask cost, DRC checks, and automation tools built into the flow. It's an onsite fresher intake with a hard floor of 6.0/10 and a Bachelor's in electrical or electronics engineering.

HireSetu's note

A week on the shuttle team

Expect layout work with a cost angle: how dies are arranged on a reticle so the mask set stays affordable, and how the shuttle carries test vehicles for other teams. You run DRC and reticle DRC checks on what you build, then push designs through TI's tapeout and PG process. Tool building sits alongside that, since the team is expected to speed up its own flow with automation.

That's a different day from block-level Verilog work, so weigh it honestly before applying.

Groundwork worth an evening

DRC sits at the centre of the verification here, so understand what a design rule check catches and how reticle-level rules differ from cell-level ones. Mask economics repay some reading too: multi-project wafers, scribe lines, die area on a reticle.

The listing names RTL, Verilog and verification, so keep your digital fundamentals fresh even though the day job leans physical. Python or another scripting language matters for the automation half. A small project that parses or checks files is the kind of thing that fits this team.

Freshers, with a firm GPA cut

The 6.0/10 requirement and the EE or ECE degree put this in campus-intake territory, and the Career Accelerator Program runs through your first year with technical training on top of the job. The preferred list is entirely soft skills: stakeholder relationships, communication, initiative, time management. No second technical bar hides behind the first.

Confirm which TI site you'd be based at and whether relocation is expected, since the posting is India-wide. A first year split between training and shuttle work is broad, so find out which process node you'd land on.
