Job Overview
We are looking for an Associate Business Intelligence Analyst – AI/GenAI to join our growing AI and digital technology team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career technology professional to gain hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Python, LLMs, data, APIs, and enterprise applications.
You will work closely with experienced AI engineers, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand business challenges and develop AI-powered solutions. You will contribute to applications such as AI assistants, chatbots, knowledge solutions, and intelligent enterprise applications.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about AI/GenAI, software development, data, and emerging technologies and wants to build a career in enterprise AI.
What You Will Do
- Assist in developing AI/ML and Generative AI solutions for real-world business use cases.
- Work with senior engineers to build LLM-based applications, chatbots, AI assistants, and knowledge solutions.
- Develop Python scripts, applications, APIs, and AI solution components.
- Gain hands-on experience with prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and LLM integration.
- Work with structured and unstructured data for basic data preparation and analysis.
- Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise applications using REST APIs and other integration technologies.
- Support testing, debugging, performance improvement, and deployment of AI applications.
- Collaborate with UX/UI and software development teams to create simple and user-friendly AI experiences.
- Support AI-enabled capabilities within enterprise portals such as Liferay.
- Contribute to responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
- Participate in Agile development, code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation.

- Basic understanding of AI/ML, NLP, Generative AI, and LLM concepts.
- Basic understanding of prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and vector search.
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, and API integration.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and software development fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of Git/version control.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar AI frameworks.
- Exposure to LLM-based applications, chatbots, or AI assistants.
- Understanding of model evaluation, accuracy, hallucinations, and responsible AI.
- Exposure to vector databases and semantic search.
- Basic knowledge of Liferay Portal/DXP or enterprise web applications.
- Understanding of Liferay concepts such as portlets, widgets, sites, pages, content management, roles, and permissions.
- Experience integrating applications with Liferay or other enterprise platforms using REST APIs.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.

Two skillsets in one listing
The AI side is what the title promises: Python scripts and services, prompt engineering, retrieval over documents, and REST calls that connect a model to something a business user opens. The portal side is Liferay, with portlets, widgets, pages, roles and permissions, plus HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap for the front end. That second list appears in the duties and again under preferred qualifications, so treat it as real work.
Liferay is niche. Few engineers a year into their careers have touched it, and the listing asks for exposure, so a couple of hours reading what a portlet and a content-managed page are will tell you whether that half of the job appeals. The onsite split at the Yelahanka office gets agreed with your manager, which matters if the commute runs long.
A year in, with something built
One year of experience and a BE or B.Tech in CS, IT, AI/ML or data science is the stated bar, and the whole posting reads as though it was written for someone a step past their first internship. Final-year students and switchers with no shipped code will struggle against that.
Lead your CV with Python and one LLM application you finished end to end: what it retrieved from, how the API call was structured, what you changed when the answers came back wrong. Then SQL, Git and REST. LangChain or LlamaIndex earns a line if you have used them for real.
Model evaluation and hallucination handling sit only in the preferred list, and they are the part of LLM work that separates a demo from something you would hand to a business team. A project where you measured your own output says more than a longer list of frameworks.
