Fitting electricals into a metal box
A drive enclosure holds contactors, busbars, heatsinks and control boards, and every one of them needs room, clearance and a way to be assembled. That packaging is the core of this job: concept layouts first, then 3D models, detailed drawings and the documentation around them. Expect layouts to move as electrical and thermal engineers change parts underneath you.
If your Creo experience is single components, practise building an assembly with hard space limits and a few parts that keep shifting. The listing covers both drives and BESS, and the two ask different things of an enclosure, so find out which line you would join.
The simulation side carries weight
ANSYS appears alongside Creo in the required list, with thermal and structural simulation as preferred extras. Power electronics run hot and vibrate, so a design that ignores either comes back from validation. If your ANSYS work has been coursework only, push one of your own models through a steady-state thermal run and learn to read the plot.
DFM and DFMEA are listed as advantages. One is knowing how a sheet-metal shop or foundry will actually make the part, the other is knowing where it fails. Name the manufacturing processes you have designed for; that detail does more than a list of software.
Project stints in Chennai
The role is full-time in Chennai, and the posting talks about short-term project-based assignments inside a matrixed organisation. Read that as reporting to a project lead while pulling in electrical, thermal and manufacturing colleagues, with the mix changing as projects open and close. Whether you sit at a Quest Global office or at a client site shapes the week more than the job title does, so settle it early.
