HireSetu's note
Low minimums, narrow preferences
The minimums are low: high school diploma, one year of experience, fluent English. That combination fits someone a year or two into their career, including switchers arriving from a finance or accounting background with some coding behind them. The preferences are where the real filter sits: AI or automation in tax, ERP systems, tax operating models, progress toward ACA, ACCA or CTA. None of those are normal full-stack hiring lines. The team wants someone who can sit between developers and tax specialists without every requirement spelled out.
If your tax knowledge stops at filing your own return, the first months will be heavy going on how compliance and reporting actually work. The degree preferences run from computer science to statistics to industrial design, so the door is wide, but the shortlist is not.
Part developer, part translator
A week here is requirements gathering, building, testing, deployment, then fixing what the users find. Tax specialists know the rules and can't write the code. You're the one who has to ask what a calculation does when a filing deadline shifts, or why one report gets checked twice before it goes out. A form that saves an accountant an hour a week counts as a win.
The listing names UK tax concepts, so get a plain-English handle on what UK corporate tax compliance and reporting involve before you start. This is onsite in Hyderabad and the contract is part-time, so confirm the days, how many hours on site, and whether it runs for a fixed term.
