HireSetu's note
A queue of lots and a stack of records
Materials arrive, you pull the control plan for that part, run the checks it lists and decide pass, hold or reject. Gauges and test equipment have to be verified before a reading counts, and calibration sits with authorised personnel, so part of the rhythm is knowing what your instruments are good for.
Every result gets written down and stored. When a defect surfaces later, or a supplier disputes a rejection, the bench record is the evidence. Expect ERP entries against inspection lots and steady email traffic with suppliers and internal teams over what happens to a non-conforming lot.
New to incoming inspection
A college lab teaches you to measure. This job asks you to judge, with a supplier on the other end of that judgment. Consistency is the whole game: same sample size, same tolerance call, same wording every time. Read up on how a control plan is laid out and what a calibration certificate actually tells you.
Non-conformance analysis is part of the work. A rejected lot ends in a decision, rework, sorting, return or a concession, and each of those needs a written trail another department can follow. If you've only written lab reports, the non-conformance format will feel strict.
Shift pattern and which materials
Savli is a plant site, so the first thing to settle is the shift pattern and whether the role rotates. Ask which materials you would own. In a plant like this that could be transformer components, sheet steel, insulation, oil or bought-out fittings, and the inspection method differs a lot across them.
Ask who keys inspection results into ERP and which system it is, since the listing leans on ERP and supply chain alongside quality. And ask how much supplier contact you get: the work covers agreeing quality terms with suppliers, and that is a very different day from standing at a bench. Hitachi runs pre-employment verification, so have your education and employment documents in order.
