HireSetu's note

A master's is the entry ticket

Read the qualification line before anything else. It asks for a master's or postgraduate diploma in finance, business administration, information systems, marketing, communications or a related field. An LLB is not on that list, and the daily tasks match: entering and reviewing settlement claims, building case timelines from settlement agreements, drafting notice materials, setting up case websites, answering claimant queries. Relevant experience is preferred rather than required, so a fresh master's graduate is in the running. Law graduates hoping for drafting and hearings will find this is a different job. MBA and MSc graduates who want a route into legal operations are the better fit.

Ask about case volume and working hours

Class action work runs on deadlines set by settlement agreements, so claims arrive in waves and have to be cleared. Expect stretches of heavy data entry and deficiency review, with project inboxes watched against set turnaround times. Ask how many cases you would support at once, whether the Hyderabad office keeps US hours to match the clients, and how the extended hours mentioned in the listing are spread across the year. Closing weeks on a big settlement do not look like a normal month.

Two years in

Staff I is the entry grade in an advisory team, and settlement administration shows you the arc of a class action: case setup, notice materials, claims intake, deficiency review, quality checks. Confidentiality rules are strict, since you handle claimant and client information. The moves after a couple of years are into project management on larger engagements or into process and operations roles. Training materials and process improvement work also sit with this team, which is the room to grow past pure data entry.
