HireSetu's note
The degree list narrows the pool
B.Com, BBA, CA Inter or another finance qualification from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute is the stated baseline, with a master's in finance, business administration or economics preferred and CA, CIMA, ACCA, ICWA or CMA counted as an extra. Expect screening to check this early. An engineering or science degree with no finance coursework leaves the reporting side, billing, collections and cash flow, as unfamiliar ground.
Excel carries the work
Strong Excel for financial and operational analysis and modelling is the one skill named in the job title. The figures are headcount, revenue, billing, collections, cash flow and working capital. Learn how revenue booked differs from cash collected, and how a slow collection shows up in working capital. Refresh lookups, pivot tables and building a model someone else can audit. Power BI, Tableau, VBA, Python, R and Alteryx are listed as advantages; they sharpen the reporting, while most of the day stays in Excel.
An internal role despite the name
"Enabling Areas" and Deloitte Shared Services India LLP point to a function that supports the firm itself, reporting into the Office of the COO. The output is project tracking, briefing material and process fixes for Deloitte's own leaders. Client dashboards and engagement models belong to other teams. The audience for your deliverables is the firm's leadership.
Four strands and a stray testing line
Project support, operations, reporting and presentations all sit in the same job. A week can move from chasing milestones with Finance, HR and IT to rebuilding a slide before a leadership review. Software testing, test cases and bug-tracking tools appear as pluses, which is unusual for a finance-flavoured analyst posting and likely tied to internal tools; mention them if you have them, they won't decide the hire. Hybrid is the default and travel is minimal, so find out how many days your function expects in the Delhi office.
