HireSetu's note
Support duties sit alongside the coding
Technical support for live applications is one of the named accountabilities, along with documentation and smoothing out releases, so part of the week goes to software that is already running. Tickets on deployed apps, notes that need updating, help with a release that isn't behaving. That mix is normal in large enterprise engineering teams, and it's how a fresher learns where systems break in production.
Ask what share of the week goes to support compared with new development. That answer decides how much feature work you touch in your first year.
The stated bar is one degree
A bachelor's in technology, BTech or BE preferred. That's it: no years of experience, no fixed stack. Most people reading this will clear the filter, which puts your project work in the middle of the conversation.
Bring one thing you can explain end to end: what it does, what you chose, what broke and how you found it. A Git repo, a small database, anything you deployed and then had to repair is fair material. Find out which language and platform the team runs on before you sit down, so your revision isn't wasted.
Where the first year can lead
Associate is the first rung. In enterprise software, the step up to a plain engineer title turns on taking work end to end, not on time served. This job is deliberately broad: requirements with product and design, code reviews with senior engineers, deployment automation, testing. Those habits travel well to backend or platform teams later.
Two practical points. The role is onsite in Bengaluru, so sort out where you'd live and how you'd commute before you accept. And ask which team and product you'd land in, since placement decides what you actually learn.
