HireSetu's note
Two boxes to tick
Graduate is the stated minimum qualification and there is no experience bar, so this is a real entry point for someone a year out of college. The other filter is the voice part. You will spend the day on calls, so a clear, unhurried speaking voice and the ability to hold a conversation in English matter more than a finance elective.
International contact centre experience is listed as preferred, which means it helps but does not shut you out. Any customer-facing work counts here: a BPO stint, a college helpdesk, retail, even telesales. Put it near the top of your CV instead of burying it under coursework.
Banking basics worth an evening
The work is resolving queries, so get comfortable with the retail vocabulary: savings and current accounts, fixed deposits, debit and credit cards, netbanking, UPI, NEFT, RTGS and IMPS, cheque clearing, KYC. Know roughly how a failed or stuck transaction gets traced, because that call comes in constantly.
The listing leans hard on compliance and risk, so it helps to see why a bank asks for so much proof before moving money. When a customer is furious about a blocked payment, that understanding is what keeps the call from going sideways.
Gurugram, shifts, and what follows
The role is onsite in Gurugram with no remote option. Voice desks that serve international customers run in shifts, and the preference for international contact centre experience hints your calls could land in other time zones. Ask about the shift pattern and whether transport is provided, since that decides whether the commute actually works for you.
From here the common moves are into relationship management or sales, or sideways into operations, risk and compliance. You would already be working next to those teams, which makes the sideways step easier than it sounds.
