As part of performing the CAE calculations, the CAE engineer may also build and assemble the mesh model of the component that is being analyzed.
The CAE engineer analyses the results of Analysis calculations to arrive at a set of engineering conclusions and recommendations related to the product design or design verification. The CAE engineer under supervision from CAE team leader is responsible for completing the task assigned to him or her within the agreed-upon schedule and adhering to all quality norms as mandated for the project.
He or She is expected to be innovative in the processes used for execution in order to enable reduction of efforts required to execute a particular task as well as reduce mistakes in the finished product by way of use of automation tools and overall leading to an increase in productivity.
Any PGT resource with CAE tool knowledge will be preferred.

HireSetu's note
The M.Tech line is a hard filter
The requirement that decides everything sits at the bottom of the posting: M.Tech Mechanical, thermal or CAD/CAE specialisation. BE and B.Tech mechanical graduates, and M.Techs from other branches, fall outside it. Twenty openings in Pune says batch intake, so you join a trainee cohort instead of filling one vacant seat.
Tata Technologies is an engineering services company, so the CAE work supports client programs in automotive, aerospace and industrial machinery. You get assigned to a project and a team leader, and your results feed someone else's design review.
Meshing takes up most of the start
New CAE entrants picture running simulations and writing recommendations. The first months go into cleaning geometry, building and assembling meshes, checking element quality and setting up boundary conditions before a solver runs. Mesh building sits in the role description, so plan for it.
Tasks arrive from the team leader with a schedule and project quality norms attached. The line about automation tools is the one to notice: scripting a repetitive meshing or post-processing step in Tcl, Python or a solver macro is how a trainee stands out. On the CAD versus CAE confusion, CAD fixes the shape, CAE decides whether the shape holds.
Pick one solver and know it cold
HyperMesh, ANSYS and LS-DYNA are all listed. Claiming three thinly reads worse than owning one: the one you used in your M.Tech thesis. Be ready to explain element types, mesh quality metrics such as aspect ratio and Jacobian, contact definitions, and how you chose boundary conditions.
Know what your analysis type was and why: linear static, modal, thermal, or explicit crash. For LS-DYNA, understand implicit versus explicit solvers and what a time step does. Thermal specialists should turn up with the loads and material properties from their project.
Two things to confirm in conversation: which tools the team actually runs on, and how project allocation works, because a services firm can move you between clients.
