Quick answer: Micron will take a fresh graduate into this Global Quality role in Gujarat, and the work is physical: preparing and running package reliability tests such as temperature cycling, HAST and HTS, keeping those processes under control, and answering for the results against JEDEC standards.
From Micron's job posting
As a Global Quality (GQ) Package Reliability Process Engineer, your responsibility will be to establish new product package reliability requirements and process standardization. This includes ensuring board level reliability that emulates customer PCB design. As a process engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring process control during package reliability and establishing procedures for the operation team's execution. You will also be required to identify process improvements to ensure cost and productivity gains.
You will need to coordinate with various functional parties to ensure that the reliability process complies with industrial standards such as JEDEC and not just Micron specifications. Additionally, you will be required to respond to inquiries from internal and external customers as a subject matter expert for package reliability activities.board-levelindustry standards,

HireSetu's note
Freshers, with a fundamentals filter
The degree list is narrow: electronics or electrical, materials science, or mechanical. That line carries more weight here than the experience line. Fresh graduates are welcome and equivalent experience is accepted, so a diploma-plus-work route works if the physics is solid.
The long skills list reads like a checklist, but JEDEC, DOE, 8D and CpK are the vocabulary you pick up on the job. What you should be able to talk about is how a package fails: thermal cycling fatigue, moisture, solder joint cracks. If semiconductor processing and device physics are blank spots, the first year will be rough.
Chambers, boards and write-ups
A good part of the week happens on the floor. You prepare hardware for reliability tests, run them, and keep the process controlled enough that the numbers mean something. Board-level reliability emulates customer PCB designs, so some of the boards you work with are stand-ins for what customers do to Micron packages.
The rest is documentation and coordination: sampling plans, process limits, DOEs, deviations written up as 8D, failures handed to the people who dissect them. You also train the operations team on procedures, which means writing steps another person can follow without you in the room. AI tools are named for process improvement and efficiency, so being able to pull and read your own test data helps. The role is onsite in Gujarat with travel when required; ask what that travel covers and how often.
The specialism you build
Reliability process work opens several doors: reliability engineering, quality engineering, new product qualification, or process engineering in assembly and test. Memory makers, OSATs, and companies qualifying parts for automotive or data centre use all hire for this.
The deeper payoff is a specialism. Temperature cycling, HAST and HTS each carry their own failure modes and standards, and someone who knows one of them properly becomes the person the team calls.
