HireSetu's note
A trainee title with an experience bar
Two filters matter here: a mechanical engineering degree and previous automation or control systems experience. That combination is narrower than the title suggests. Controls roles more often go to electrical or instrumentation graduates, and this one rules those out. Mechanical fits work that involves drives, motors and moving machinery, which is where motion control and drives sit.
If your degree is mechanical and you have never touched a PLC, the gap is real, and the trainee label won't cover it. Any college project, internship or maintenance stint where you wired, programmed or debugged one belongs in your first three lines.
Put the controls hardware first
Allen Bradley PLC configuration is the named tool, and the rest of the work is HMI configuration, control strategy, alarm management and network communications. Those go above coursework on a CV. So does whichever of the three areas you've actually worked in: safety systems, motion control, or drives and controls.
GMP and validation protocols are the other half of the job: writing test procedures, running them, producing the reports. If you have documented a regulated process before, keep that visible. Microsoft Office is mentioned, and it will not decide anything.
Onsite, with customer sites on top
The job is onsite in Bengaluru with no relocation assistance, so plan on already being there or paying to get there. Commissioning support and troubleshooting at customer sites are listed, which means travel out of the office and hours that follow a project rather than a fixed day. Ask how often the team goes to site and who covers the cost.
Recipe database work, project schedules and budgets also sit with the trainee, so ask what the first six months actually look like.
