A Little About Us The Yahoo Global Cash Accounting team is responsible for protecting and ensuring the integrity of Yahoo's global cash position. We manage cash operations, multi-currency reconciliations, and compliance controls across our international entities. Operating in a fast-paced environment, our team leverages automation and innovative practices to streamline global reporting, maintain audit-ready financial records, and support stakeholders across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions. About the Role As a Senior Accountant on the Cash Accounting team, you will take ownership of our global cash transaction lifecycle and balance sheet reconciliations. Working under minimal guidance, you will resolve complex transactional variances, drive operational standards, and act as a primary point of contact for internal and external audits. To succeed in this role, you should possess a mindset of continuous optimization, showing comfort in adapting to and experimenting with AI-augmented tools to automate manual accounting workflows, accelerate close cycles, and enhance financial reporting accuracy. Note: This role requires working on shifts that align with our Americas and Europe business hours (including late afternoon/evening shifts). Your Responsibilities: Take ownership of global cash accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of responsible Balance Sheet accounts under minimal guidance. Prepare, validate, and post complex journal entries utilizing transaction data sourced from bank statements and internal ledger systems.
