Job Title: Data Engineer (Spark, Scala, ETL, AWS) Job Summary We are looking for a Data Engineer with experience in building scalable data pipelines using Spark, Scala, and AWS services. The ideal candidate will work on processing large datasets, developing ETL pipelines, and supporting cloud-based data platforms. Key Responsibilities Design and develop ETL pipelines for data ingestion and processing Build and optimize Apache Spark jobs using Scala Develop and maintain data workflows on AWS Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources Ensure data quality, performance, and scalability Integrate data across systems using APIs and cloud services Monitor pipelines and troubleshoot issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, analysts, product teams) Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field Strong experience in Apache Spark and Scala Hands-on experience with ETL pipeline development Experience with AWS services (S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, etc.) Good knowledge of SQL and databases Understanding of data warehousing concepts Familiarity with version control (Git) Preferred Skills Experience with Big Data tools (Hadoop, Hive, Kafka) Knowledge of data orchestration tools (Airflow) Experience in real-time/streaming data processing Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Good communication and teamwork S​ YNECHRON’S DIVERSITY & INCLUSION STATEMENT Diversity & Inclusion are fundamental to our culture, and Synechron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
