Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Platform Engineer to join our Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE) team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, automation, and governance of enterprise-scale Snowflake data platforms within regulated financial environments . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), CI/CD (Azure DevOps), Git-based development workflows , and ITSM processes (ServiceNow) , with a focus on platform reliability, security, compliance, and automation . Key Responsibilities Snowflake Platform Engineering Design, build, and operate Snowflake environments (multi-account, multi-region, replication & failover). Implement secure RBAC models , access provisioning, and governance frameworks aligned with enterprise standards. Develop and maintain automated onboarding pipelines (accounts, databases, warehouses, roles). Optimize warehouse performance and cost (FinOps) , including query tuning and utilization tracking. Implement data protection, encryption, masking policies , and regulatory compliance controls. Cloud & Infrastructure (Azure) Architect and manage Snowflake integrations with Azure services (Azure Key Vault, Private Endpoints, Managed Identity). Configure secure network connectivity (Private Link, VNet integration, firewall policies). Troubleshoot TLS/SSL, connectivity, and authentication issues across Azure and Snowflake. Automation & DevOps Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform for Snowflake and Azure resources. Develop CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO) for: Integration configurations Grants and RBAC automation Enforce Git-based version control practices for platform artifacts (SQL, scripts, Terraform modules). Implement automated testing, validation, and rollback mechanisms for deployments.
