This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in India The Microsoft Purview Consultant – Subject Matter Expert (SME) is a senior, client‑facing consultant who leads organizations through the design, deployment, and operationalization of Microsoft Purview to enable trusted data, reduced risk, and sustainable compliance. Acting as both strategic advisor and delivery lead, this role partners closely with client executives, compliance leaders, security teams, and data stakeholders to transform fragmented governance and protection efforts into a cohesive, business‑aligned data governance program. The SME brings deep expertise across Microsoft Purview data governance, information protection, and compliance capabilities, translating regulatory obligations and business priorities into practical, scalable solutions. The consultant owns client success end‑to‑end—shaping vision, guiding implementation, driving adoption, and ensuring long‑term value realization. How you’ll make an impact Trusted Advisory & Executive Engagement : Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders across Security, Compliance, Legal, IT, and Data leadership, providing clear guidance on how Microsoft Purview supports governance, regulatory needs, and business enablement. Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, and roadmap discussions to assess governance maturity, clarify risk posture, and define realistic, outcome‑driven Purview strategies. Translate complex compliance and governance concepts into executive‑level narratives tied to measurable outcomes such as reduced risk, audit readiness, and improved data confidence. Solution Architecture & Delivery Leadership Own the end‑to‑end design and delivery of Microsoft Purview solutions across Microsoft 365, Azure, SaaS, and hybrid data environments, ensuring alignment to client objectives and technical realities.
