A Day in the Life This position will be responsible for the daily operations and support to Medtronic Hiring Managers, Human Resources, finance leaders and their global peers by working in a cross-functional team. This position will have daily interaction with suppliers, supplier relationship management is a critical responsibility. Make recommendations where necessary to improve processes and systems in order to reduce the overall cost of acquisition of temporary labor. Negotiate contract rates with supplier on behalf of Medtronic managers in order to continue to control costs. Assist managers in the identification of quality resources in a timely manner while managing cost controls and compliance to Contingent Workforce Policies. Collaborate with leadership and peers to identify the best solution related to the identification and onboarding of external talent. Ensure that Medtronic risk is mitigated by complying with company policies and staying aware of labor laws and specific risks related to the external workforce. Communicate opportunities for continuous improvement, issues and risks to Program Leaders. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle for specified category of contingent labor spend. Responds to and resolves operating issues, escalates to Program Leaders as necessary.
