A Day in the Life Human Factors (HF) Engineer will be placed as part of the R&D Engineering function of Medtronic Engineering and Innovation Center R&D facility and will work with the Human Factors and User Experience team. The HF Engineer will join a fun, diverse and caring team, that believes in working collaboratively. It will be a good opportunity to work on products that are implanted in over a million patients. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Apply human factors engineering methods to support product development activities, including user research, task analysis, and usability evaluation. Assist in designing and executing formative usability studies and contribute to summative usability validation activities. Analyses user data and identify usability issues, recommending improvements to enhance product safety and effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional partners. Support use-related risk analysis activities, including identification of use errors and mitigation strategies. Contribute to documentation required for regulatory submissions related to human factors. Participate in cross-functional project teams to meet project milestones and deliverables. Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders. Provide guidance to less experienced team members when needed.
