As a Substation Protection and Controls Engineer, you will be involved in: Detailed design of substation deliverables such as single line diagrams, relay and metering one diagrams, three-line diagrams, protection schemes for line, breaker, buss diff, transformer, networking diagrams, RTU/Annunciator drawings, panel front views. Detailed design of wiring drawings for panel-to-panel wiring and Panel to yard wiring. Develop the bill of materials, revise/develop cable schedule and create drawing lists as needed. Basic understanding of engineering studies such as voltage drop, conduit fill, AC, DC load sizing calculations. Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with the internal teams and clients to meet project objectives What Sets You Apart (Background Requirements): 2+ years of prior relevant experience with US utility. Bachelor of Science Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Industrial). Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Direct US Substation protection and control design experience with National grid NE, NY and or PPL/RIE is highly preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with the internal team and clients to meet project needs. Basic understanding of Substation physical drawings such as control house layout, cable tray layout drawings, conduit plans, sections views to be able to be able to corelate physical design with the P&C design part.
