Electrical Lead – Data Center Construction Provide expert technical leadership and oversight for electrical systems design, installation, and commissioning on mission-critical data center construction projects, ensuring reliability, redundancy, and compliance with industry standards. Review and approve electrical design documents, load calculations, single-line diagrams, and specifications for medium/high-voltage distribution, UPS systems, generators, PDUs, and backup power infrastructure. Ensure electrical systems meet data center tier requirements (Uptime Institute), TIA-942 standards, NEC/NFPA codes, and client-specific performance criteria for uptime and redundancy (N, N+1, 2N configurations). Conduct technical evaluations of electrical submittals, equipment specifications, and vendor proposals for switchgear, transformers, automatic transfer switches, battery systems, and busway distributions. Oversee installation quality, testing protocols, and commissioning activities for critical electrical infrastructure including load bank testing, integrated systems testing (IST), and parallel generator operations. Collaborate with MEP design teams, contractors, and commissioning agents to resolve design conflicts, value engineering opportunities, and field coordination issues.
