Sr.IT Engineer Virtualization/Linux/Unix/Storage About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Virtualization Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep, hands-on expertise in VMware virtualization, Linux/Unix administration, enterprise storage platforms, operations, and advanced troubleshooting. In this role, you will be a critical part of our data center and ERP hosting operations team, responsible for maintaining a fully virtualized infrastructure integrated with enterprise storage solutions from Dell, HPE, and NetApp and ensuring high availability, stability, and performance across mission-critical systems. This position is ideal for a seasoned technologist who excels in diagnosing complex issues, optimizing virtualized environments, and driving operational excellence across enterprise infrastructure. Required Qualifications• 6+ years of experience in IT Operations or Data Center environment. • 5+ years of hands-on VMware virtualization experience (vSphere/vCenter/ESXi). • 3+ years of Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting experience. • 3+ years of hands-on enterprise storage administration or support experience, preferably across Dell, HPE, and/or NetApp storage platforms. Preferred Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • Strong expertise in RedHat, Oracle Linux, and other Unix-based systems. • Strong expertise in enterprise storage technologies from Dell, HPE, and NetApp, including SAN/NAS architecture and day-to-day operations. • Understanding of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, RAID concepts, multipathing, snapshots, replication, capacity planning, and performance tuning. • Experience integrating storage with VMware clusters and Linux/Unix hosts, including datastore management, LUN mapping, and end-to-end performance troubleshooting. • Advanced understanding of security, patching, and hardening tools. • Certifications such as: VMware VCP / VCAP Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent Linux/Uni
