This role involves developing and optimizing Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) offerings, focusing on technical design, cost optimization, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. How you’ll make an impact: * Lead the technical design and engineering of GIS solutions for various applications, including substations and grid connections. * Develop and maintain technical specifications, Bills of Material (BOMs), and engineering drawings for GIS products. * Collaborate with sales, product management, and research & development teams to define new GIS offerings and improve existing ones. * Perform cost analysis and optimization activities for GIS components and overall system configurations. * Conduct technical reviews and provide expert support during the proposal and tender phases. * Ensure compliance with relevant international and national standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI) and internal quality processes. * Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams. * Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance GIS performance, reliability, and manufacturability. * Participate in customer meetings and presentations to articulate technical solutions and address inquiries. * Support the creation of technical documentation, including manuals, guides, and training materials. * Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. * Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleague
