This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office four times per week or other frequency dictated by the business. The Role: This role is responsible for executing and managing FANUC robot automation projects across Body Shop, Press Shop, General Assembly, GPS, and Paint Shop applications. It requires strong expertise in FANUC robot configuration and application engineering, including welding, material handling, dispensing, and tool-changing systems, along with selecting optimal robot models based on process requirements.The role also involves hands-on robot programing, validation of robotic cells, and performing simulations using Process Simulate, including approval of offline programming (OLP) to optimize on-floor execution. In addition, it supports standardization initiatives, global project coordination, and ensures adherence to GM engineering standards through training and integration activities. Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams such as controls and process suppliers is essential. A solid understanding of advanced machine vision systems,including FANUC 3DV, PhotoNeo, Matrox, and Keyence are considered an added advantage What You'll Do Execution of Robot related projects in Body-shop, Press – shop, General Assembly, Global Propulsion System shop and Paint shop sealing applications Monitor and control projects including project scope, issues, risks and schedule. Manage issues to closure. Communicate project status and ensure all stakeholders are aware of progress through project meetings, status reports and milestone reviews. Monitor the configuration of the robots for the application and process like Welding guns, Welding controller, Material Handling
