This position will be based in our India Technology Center, located in Bangalore, India. You would be part of the Payments team under Product engineering working with On-Prem and Cloud based applications. You would be in a critical role coordinating with external stakeholders for clarifying requirements and resolving issues of the payment product. You would be responsible for delivering a quality produce of the consumed by multiple ERP products. This is a great opportunity to showcase your technical skills. What You'll Do Develop, test, debug, and maintain backend applications for payment systems using Python , modern frameworks (Django/Flask/Fast API), RESTful APIs, and ORM technologies. Enhance and refactor existing components based on requirements from product owners and stakeholders. Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and sprint ceremonies to contribute to robust and scalable solutions. Collaborate with senior engineers to implement new features, fix defects, and improve application performance. Translate functional requirements into well-structured, maintainable, and reusable code. Write clean, secure, and efficient code following software engineering best practices and coding standards. Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality, reliability, and performance. Troubleshoot application issues, debug defects, and support production incidents. Work closely with cross-functional teams (QA, Product, DevOps) to deliver high-quality software within timelines. Build and maintain tools to support and automate development, testing, and release processes. Continuously improve coding standards, engineering practices, and development processes. Provide effort estimates and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks. What You Bring: 2+ years of experience in Python backend development .
